Jess & Adrian
Jess & Adrian are truth-be-told two of my favorite people. Jess & I met in college, were roommates when we moved to Brooklyn & after years of friendship I had the honor of designing her wedding. In order to achieve maximum impact (on a budget), we used flagging tape to create a colorful installation over the dance floor – which also doubled as a ceremony backdrop. We also filled the loft space above the dance floor with balloons & a giant 6′ long gold fringed arrow to direct guests outside to the roof deck. It was so meaningful to work with them to design their wedding space & it still remains one of my favorite projects.
“After years of friendship, I knew of Michelle’s vibrant aesthetic and ability to design, build, and fabricate anything that your imagination could dream. So it was a no brainer that we’d look to her to help us design the biggest party we would ever throw in our lives. We came to Michelle with a small budget and big idea. Michelle understood our style right away and crafted a proposal that blew our minds. She was not only open to our ideas, but also helped us build upon them – leading to a cascading waterfall backdrop of neon tape, oversized balloons with our initials, and giant golden arrows leading the way into our lofted wedding venue.
Throughout the process, Michelle kept an organized plan of attack, keeping us in the loop about logistics and putting our minds at ease. And trust me, when you’re planning a large DIY wedding on your own — you need a person like her in your corner. I would recommend Michelle (and already have) to anyone with a love for colorful, the fun, and elevated design. Simply put — she’s the best.”
